Baird Sustainability Fellowship
The Baird Sustainability Fellowship recognizes seniors with high academic achievement who have advanced sustainability through substantial scholarly work and projects of exceptional quality.
Whats Fresh Match? This program, run through Project Share, helps double SNAP benefits (formerly known as food stamps) for recipients buying fresh, local food at Carlisle’s farmers market. The goal of the program is to encourage Carlisle area food access recipients to take advantage of locally-grown fruits and vegetables and to provide additional fresh, nutritious food for their families.
What did I do? As a Fellow, I worked alongside three of my peers to raise money for Fresh Match, a program out of Project Share in Carlisle Pa. In only three and a half months we raised $2,550. Our initial project goal was to raise $2,500.
